A trip to Aguinid Waterfalls
We went to Agunid Falls after we went whale shark watching in Oslob. It was another 45 minute drive. The soaked ones had to stay in the back of the truck to get dry. I love riding in the back, the breeze hitting my face forcing me to smile and the view is just amazing. There is something about seeing how calm the ocean is that just relaxes you. Aguinid Falls has 5 levels of waterfalls. Each one getting higher and harder to climb. There were sink holes so you really need a guide. It was only 40pesos each. So a dollar per person.
We had to climb this really high wall and when we were waiting for our turn one of the guides fell. He rolled down what seemed like 2 flights of stairs. You really had to be careful because even if you are well experienced shit can still happen. His nose and brow was bleeding but thank goodness he fell on the water area. It really could have been worse. I think my heart stopped for a minute watching him fall knowing that I couldn't do anything to help him. He quickly rose from the water and he seemed fine.
There were a lot of people that day. Again, many foreigners. You have to wear aqua shoes or any shoe that prevents you from slipping. The rocks were limestone so rubber shoes would be a good idea.. I saw some people also going barefoot, but that's scary. There were point parts of the rocks. You can also jump off the little cliffs as long as you ask the guide first. Some parts have rocks and they know where the sweet spot is to dive.

This was pretty steep and it looked very intimidating. It wasnt that hard though after you started. It's always the beginning thats scary.
